TOTO at top architecture event in London
Europe’s top architects will meet at the Leading European Architects Forum, or LEAF for short, in London from 8-10 September 2010. TOTO will have a stand in the exhibition area of the event. In addition to the sophisticated bathroom products that provide customers greater comfort and hygiene while protecting natural resources, TOTO offers another interesting technology to architects and planners: HYDROTECT. This technology is characterised by two main features: It creates self-cleaning surfaces for buildings that use natural resources, like rain and sunlight. At the same time, it cleans the air by breaking down nitric oxides.
Building facades and front windows treated with HYDROTECT require far less cleaning. Photocatalytic processes produce activated oxygen particles, which destroy the dirt, bacteria and oils that cling to the surface. As a result, rainwater can get behind the dirt and easily wash it away. This technology has been used successfully in Japan for many years, but is still new to most of Europe.
The presentation programme for the LEAF exhibition focuses on the latest challenges facing the industry, examines Europe’s standing in achieving sustainable goals and highlights successful practices.
