TOTO Opens Retail Space at Elmer Showroom in Bottrop, Germany

29.09.2009

Iconic Japanese bathroom brand TOTO has opened its first European showroom and retail space within the prestigious German wholesale showroom, Elmer. Located in Bottrop, Germany, TOTO’s corner showroom will exhibit products and act as a sales base for TOTO’s premium NEOREST Series/LE range of products.

Occupying 18.5 square metres, the space exhibits a full NEOREST Series/LE suite, including a bathtub, washbasin, shower, Washlet-integrated toilet and a range of accessories. Designed to parallel the brand’s successful European advertising campaign, TOTO’s display at Elmer features the NEOREST Series/LE suite as originally envisioned by famed German architect Philipp Mainzer of design firm e15.

The space also includes a brand wall, which features a screen playing TOTO’s specially commissioned animated film created by Kuntzel + Deygas.

The NEOREST Series/LE range is TOTO’s luxury offering. The exceptional qualities of the LUMINIST material have been used to create a range of products that transform your bathroom into a calm, restorative space. LUMINIST is TOTO’s custom epoxy resin material, which has a glass-like translucent quality, excellent durability and extreme heat resistance. Visually, the product allows for new dimensions in interior lighting, as it can be lit from below, creating subtle, ambient atmospheres.

With the view to revolutionise bathroom culture, TOTO has been manufacturing contemporary, lifestyle-enhancing bathrooms since 1917 and is renowned for developing technologically innovative products across all facets of bathroom design. TOTO’s showcase at Elmer follows the brand’s successful launch into the European market in March 2009.
